Which is the way in which Youtube-Partners is going to pay me once I’m part of his Network? 

Payments will be done through Paypal, Bank Transfer or Western Union. In last two cases, we will make a transfer if Net Earnings are more than 150€ (due to administrative cost incurred). 

How can I get a PayPal account? 

1) Go to www.paypal.com 2) You will automatically be rerouted to the home page of the PayPal website for your country 3) Click the ‘Sign up’ button located in the top left hand area of your screen 4) Select your country from the drop-down menu 5) Follow the PayPal account set-up instructions 

Which are the Steps that Youtube-Partners takes in order to pay their partners? 

First thing you should know is that we have to receive the money from YouTube one month later from the month in question. For example, for November, we don't receive the money from YouTube till the end of December. Once the money is in our hands, we manage it and send your part directly to your Pay Pal Account. In this specific case, payment to you takes place at the beginning of January. Notice: If you chose Western Union or Bank transfer as a payment system, we will have to wait till we have in our hands a Net Revenue of 150$. 

When will I receive the money if I join to Youtube-Partners at the middle-end of a month? 

Let's make an example!. If a channel join us the 26th of September. At the beginning of November we will pay out (through PayPal) the correspondent period from September (from 26th till 30th). Notice: The minimum that PayPal allow us to send is a Net Revenue of 1$. In the case you didn't reach that minimum, we will keep the money and we will pay out on the Next payment period (December) 

Will be partners paid through PayPal every 2 months? 

After first payment, as long as you get at least 1$ as a Net Revenue, you will receive money every month. Notice: This case is only applicable to the transfers made through PayPal, otherwise you'll have to wait till we get from YouTube a minimum of 150$ as a Net Revenue. 

Do I have the possibility to see how much I’m earning before be paid? 

1.Log into your channel account 2.Go to the Analytics 3.Click Estimated Earnings and there you have the Gross Revenue you've made till the moment. Remember that you will receive the Net Revenue afterwards. These numbers are supplied by YouTube. We have no influence at all on their reporting.

What happen for those countries in which Paypal is not allowed? 

There are two possible ways to send the money; could be through Western Union or by Bank Transfer. In both cases those entities ask for an interest to be charged (The cheapest one, would be through Bank Transfer and it is around 10$ for non Eu countries). For that reason we cannot send every dollar earned as we do through PayPal. We must ask for a minimum of 150$ as a Net Revenue, in order to have a real amount to send and cover those interests charged (10$). We will keep your amount every month till it reaches 150$. Once you reach it, we have to wait to receive the money from YouTube (one month later) and we will send it through the option you like the most. You have to consider which the cheapest way is for you and provide us the information required to send the money. 

I'm not 18 so i can't get a PayPal account to work so how will i get money exactly? 

Tell to your parents to make one for you. Money will go to your parents. So, you have to convince them to open one for you. In the case you have a bank account, we can transfer it to your account. The minimum to send through Bank transfer is 150$. 

Do you at least support Moneybookers? 

No, we only support PayPal and Bank Transfer or Western Union. 

Is there a minimum to transfer? 

The minimum to transfer through PayPal is 1$ and for Bank transfer or Western Union is 150$. 

Does PayPal takes a percentage from my earnings? 

Yes. Their percentage is 2% from your revenue. From your Estimated Earnings, you should discount the percentage specified at the beginning of the partnership and 2% from PayPal. 

Is there a special date for payments? 

No, payment period takes place first week from each month. It depends on the payment system selected (PayPal, Bank transfer or Western Union) and how much time takes for our finance department to manage and send the money. Remember that we have to wait first to receive the money from YouTube. 

What money correspond the one shown on our Estimated Earnings? 

The money you are able to see on "Estimated Earnings" is your Gross Revenue (100%) Once we receive the money from YouTube, we will take the percentage specified on your agreement. 

Does Estimated Earnings in my YouTube Analytics show the money I will earn? 

What YouTube Analytics shows are your Gross Earnings. Your Net Earnings will be your RevShare percentage (for instance 70%) times your Gross Earnings. 

When will I receive the revenue share made on My channel for a specific month? 

For those that has PayPal account, you will receive your revenue share in the following way: January in March. February in April. March in May. April in June. May in July. June in August. July in September. August in October. September in November. October in December. November in January from the next year. December in February from the next year. For those people that chose Bank Transfer or Western Union as payment system, they'll have to wait to have a Net Revenue of 150$. In this case, depends on how fast you are able to generate money on your channel.

Can I make music myself? 

It is always fine to use music you have composed yourself. If you record and use music that is inspired by existing work you have to make sure that you change the original song and lyrics in such a way that it 'materially changes the original meaning, context or intended communication'. So if you play U2s Sunday bloody Sunday on the piano and sing the original lyrics then it would NOT be copyright free. 

Can I upload music to my channel if I get a written confirmation? 

You can of course also try to get a hand written formal approval by the original artist to use their work. But the automated YouTube content recognition software will still find a conflict that needs to be dealt with. I saw someone has a cool video, can I use it?

I receive game trailers from publishers and want to upload them to my channel. Can I? 

No. It's better if you don't. You can't monetize video game trailers and/or other official footage made available by a company, because the copyrights to these videos are with the respective owners. It's is possible to shortly refer to a trailer in a YouTube show for example. 

How many Copyright Strikes from Youtube can I have? 

They can have two at the same time as maximum. When third one comes, YouTube will delete your Channel. A copyright sanction can only be resolved if the user submits a counter-notification and prevails in that process or, we receive a message directly from the original claimant retracting the claim. How to determine if my video infringe someone else's copyright? 

Below are some guidelines to help you determine whether your video may infringe someone else's copyright. If you taped it from cable, videotaped your TV screen or downloaded it from some other website, it may still be copyright infringement and requires the copyright owner's permission to distribute or can only be used within the limits of legal exceptions to copyright. If you give credit to the owner/author/songwriter–it may still be copyright infringement. If you are not selling the video for money – it may still be copyright infringement. If similar videos appear on our site – it may still be copyright infringement. If the video contains a copyright notice – it may still be copyright infringement. If you created a video made of short clips of copyrighted content – even though you edited it together, it may still be copyright infringement.

Is there any kind of music legit for the monetization?

What happen if I upload games before the release date? 

Do not try to be the first one in the world; we are sure you will receive a Strike. Understand that companies want to keep in secret all this things till the final moment in which the game is launched. Do not even show the external shape from the game, you could get into a big trouble. Imagine someone upload Madonna's new cd and consequences for that person.

Do I need any licences from publisher (for example Ubisoft) to upload and monetize gaming-clips from their games? 

We got approval from most of the publishers. Some of them, like Mojang of course, say “Sure, do whatever”, and other say “I can’t say yes, but I don’t say no either. Once a game is on the market, just go for it”. The ones that make problems out of it once in a while are Microsoft and Warner Bros. Even though this has never actually resulted in a strike of some sort. All the strikes come from music usage or the usage of claimed content by the publisher… (see example below). Yet, keep notice on this: Some games are claimed and therefore protected on YouTube. Even when you upload your very own gameplay, Youtube will recognize it as copyright infringement. How does Terms Of Use (T.O.U) Strikes works? 

Community Guidelines (http://www.youtube.com/t/community_guidelines ) sanctions last for six months from the date that they are received. Notice is provided by email and at next login; for reference, copies of the notices are also logged within a user's account. Accrual of sanctions results in penalties, as follows: First Sanction:The first sanction on an account is considered a warning. Second Sanction: If an account receives two sanctions within a six-month period, the ability to post new content to YouTube from that account is disabled for two weeks. If there are no further issues, full privileges are restored automatically after the two-week period. Third Sanction: If an account receives a third Community Guidelines sanction within six months (before the first sanction has expired), the account is closed. When a user has posting privileges temporarily disabled on one account, that user is also prohibited from posting material to YouTube using any other account, for the duration of the suspension. Attempts to circumvent this rule may result in immediate closure, without warning, of all accounts. If you feel that your video was removed without just cause, you can appeal against the sanction on your account.

Can I be part of Youtube-Partners Network if Youtube blocked my Adsense? 

In this case, you must appeal for Adsense and try to re-enable your account. Otherwise, we won’t be able to add your channel. Earnings 

Can I earn money by creating and uploading videos to Youtube? 

Yes, you can! By being part of the Youtube-Partners partner program you can earn money. 

How much do I get from the advertising? 

You earn in CPM, which means you earn a certain amount of dollars per 1000 views. YouTube has a fluctuating CPM depending on the target audience, country and the relevance of the video to the ad. On average Youtube-Partners has around 5 dollars CPM (which means every 1000 views from advertising you will get 2 or 3 dollars). The more popular and steady channels are, the more high profile ads they'll get. i.e. Your CPM is 5 dollar and you've had 1000 views. YouTube takes a cut off the CPM, which leaves Youtube-Partners with approximately 3 dollar. This would mean a regular partner would earn 2,40 dollar per 1000 views. 

Which are the variables that affect earnings? 

There are several factors that will affect your earnings: 1. Only your content claimed will earn revenue. 2. Earning depends mostly on views made on your channel. If you have a big amount of views, it will be bigger. If your views decrease, earnings will be lower. 3. YouTube has a fluctuating CPM depending on the target audience, country and the relevance of the video to the ad. On average Youtube-Partners has approximately 5 dollars CPM. 4. The Country where your views comes from. Not every country has the same amount of campaigns and CPM. The bigger is the advertising market on that country, the higher CPM will be for the campaigns displayed. For the contrary, if your views comes from a country in which monetization is not available, there will be no earnings. 5. The season will affect the amount of campaigns displayed on YouTube. For example, Christmas is the higher season for advertisement. 6. The amount of campaigns available. The more campaigns, the more money. If there is only few campaigns available, not every view made on that country will be monetized. 7. Due to technical and license matters, YouTube is not able to monetized those views made on Mobile Devices as smartphones or Android. 

There's no flat rate? 

Nope, there's not. You will get an extremely high revenue share. As you are part of the network you will benefit from the success of other channels as well. Making CPM grow and therefore also your income. We pay even if you only earn $1, and the sky is the limit. So basically, there is no limit. 

Do I need to claim ownership of my videos to make ads appear? 

Yes, you have to claim your videos in order to monetize them. You can set the policy while you are uploading it or It's also possible to do this with videos you've uploaded prior of becoming a partner. Just press "edit" in the "video manager" and change the "monetisation settings" for each video. 

When we join the network will we have insight in our earnings? 

Yes, unlike other networks. Youtube-Partners always allows each Network Partner insight in the daily earnings. Notice: Earnings are not live and takes two days for YouTube to update it.

I become a partner few days ago and I'm not able to see the Estimated Earnings. Why? 

Earnings are not LIVE. Which means there will be a delay of 4 to 7 days before the system starts tracking. 

Why does my Estimated Earnings decreased for the same period? I do have less money than yesterday for the same period. 

Remember that those are "Estimated Earnings"and not the final information. It can fluctuate a bit. These numbers are supplied by YouTube. We have no influence at all on their reporting. 

Do we need to do anything to earn money for our video or will it be automaticly? 

In order to start earning money, you should claim your content. Not claimed videos, won't earn revenue. 

Cpm does only concern to monetizable views? 

The way it works is the following: Every time there is a view, YouTube made an ad request regardless of if an ad was actually served. If there is no ad to be shown (due to the season or the country), there will be no revenue. The CPM shown on your Ad Performance is the average from the all CPM, from all countries displayed on your channel videos. 

Does PayPal takes a percentage from my earnings? 

Yes. Their percentage is 2% from your revenue. From your Estimated Earnings, you should discount the percentage specified at the beginning of the partnership and 2% from PayPal.

Estimated Earnings in my YouTube Analytics does not update since more than a week. What is happening? 

Don't panic, this is normal in YouTube. There is always a lag of a few days in displaying Estimated Earnings versus for instance Views or Subscribers. If the problem persists, please contact our support team (email) and send them a screenshot. You can also contact YouTube support (https://support.google.com/youtube/?hl=en). 

Does Estimated Earnings in my YouTube Analytics show the money I will earn? 

What YouTube Analytics shows are your Gross Earnings. Your Net Earnings will be your RevShare percentage (for instance 70%) times your Gross Earnings. 

What does my view count dropped dramatically on my YouTube Analytics? 

it just means YouTube looked at your views and decided they made a mistake, or decided to change what counts as a view. If you ever noticed when videos get to about 300 views YouTube locks the view count. This is the beginning of their audit system. YouTube decided that if you delete a video or private it you lose the views that were on there so many channels lost a large number of views. 

Monetisation

You keep ownership of all the videos you create, and you keep complete control of your channel.

I've filled in the form on the website, but we don't actually hit the minimum views per day just yet, is that a problem? 

Our system will track your views till you reach the minimum established. 

Can I join to Youtube-Partners Network if I'm already partner of another network? 

You can't join us till you are unlinked from the other (that depends on your contract). If you are in a sticked in a network forever, just make a new one and move all the videos to the new one. Just drop the old one... 

If I’m a Youtube partner, will I be able to become part of your Network? 

Yes. In terms of functionality, you will still be able to become a Youtube partner through us. When you do, you can benefit from our search engine optimalisation and our cross promotion. 

Google recently disabled our ad-sense, am I eligible for the partnership?. 

Nop, Youtube doesn't allow us to do it. In this case you must appeal for Adsense and try to re-enable your account. Otherwise, we won’t be able to add your channel. No one send me the contract. Does it exist?

I've seen you guys have great gameplay videos from the newest games. How do you do that? 

If you want to make gameplay videos, make sure you get a good capture card from a brand like Black Magic - We use a strong pc with a built-in capture card that's able to receive video input from the console and show it on the pc screen and a separate screen at the same time 

But how do you capture pc games? 

We've bought a license for a piece of software called Fraps(http://www.fraps.com/). The biggest problem using this software is that your hard disk needs to read the game and write the footage to the hard disk at the same time. That requires lots of effort and a very strong pc. Using separate discs for each task can circumvent this problem, and the new SDD hard disk transfer data much faster than the SATA types.

What does my view count dropped dramatically on my YouTube Analytics? 

it just means YouTube looked at your views and decided they made a mistake, or decided to change what counts as a view. YouTube decided that if you delete a video or private it you lose the views that were on there so many channels lost a large number of views.
